Hello, my name is Thomas Roberts. Im new to Corona SDK…well more like programming altogether.A little about myself. Im pretty young, about 20 yy. My interest in computer programming started about 2 years about. Straight out of high school, I wasn’t really a school kinda guy, I loved to learn things on my own and make things work the way I want to. Thats when I got into Development. I was   lost   and didn’t know where to start. I had a little taste of everything. Python, Web Development (created one website by the way), and then I got into App Development. I can create something from scratch,  my own idea, and share it with the world!

And thats when I hit Objective C. Wow, I was stumped. I tried to shove everything into my head with millions of videos and Documentations. Objective C is a slow learning process and I’m a fast learning get-to-the-action kind of person. THEN, I found Corona SDK. YES!! I dove right in and it was so simple that I felt like I knew everything. (very) Long story short, I’ve taken Corona SDK _ full force _, working on my first app. Trying to make it as perfect as possible. Praying that this with take me into a career that I love because this IS what i Love to do.

Hello @robertsthomasd.  Welcome to the Corona SDK forums.  I hope you get from this everything you’re looking for.  Many of us started out where  you are and found Objective C to be a barrier to entry and found Corona SDK to be the perfect tool for building our mobile apps.

Just a small administrative note.  While our forums allow you to change fonts, color things, please use them sparingly.  We do try to maintain a clean professional feel here and the use of these styles can make a post look spamish.   It’s okay to use a fixed font like Courier New to show code or console logs, or to use bold and italics when necessary.  But using different font sizes and colors is generally not needed.

I apologized for the unprofessionalism. I respect this website and also the forum. Guess I was trying to be a little different. And thank you for all the help you have provided, it was truly needed. :smiley:
