I'm selling my Corona source code!

Greetings fellow Corona devs!

I’m selling my source code - lua files, audio files, jpg/png graphics, etc. to anyone who wants it!

https://sellfy.com/digitalmeme

The prices that I’ve set are based on the quality of the code, the amount of time it too me to create the game, and also the amount of $ that the game has generated in app revenue.

With the source code that I’ve made available, you can immediately start publishing to any of the app stores supported by Corona.

I think that you’ll agree that these games have a high production value. Some of the games - like Prospector - took me up to a year to develop. So in essence, you’re getting thousands of development hours for just a couple of hundred bucks. Good deal!

Cheers,

Darren

Are these licenses exclusive? Or can more than one person buy the code?

hi Nick,

These licenses are NOT exclusive (I would probably be charging $5000+ if so). In essence, I need to continue selling these games under my own account. I would be too much of a revenue blow for me to take these off the market.

Thus, it probably makes the most sense to get the source code and make at least some cosmetic modifications to the games, and maybe rebrand them or something to avoid name conflicts.

Darren

Hi Darren,

A couple of questions if I may:

Did you use any tools to make your games (level director, sprite helper, etc) that would make it easier to work on the code if one were to purchase, or were they done by hand?

For something like Crates, Pipes, and Goal, do you have solutions for the puzzles handy? And did you create the puzzles/solutions using pen and paper? Do you have more puzzles that you never implemented in the game?

In general, is the code well-commented and easy to follow?

If you want to sell your Templates, Tutorials Images, Sprite Sheets, Sounds and not have to post like crazy and advertise email me coronalabscollege@gmail.com the website will be up shortly and we will sell everything only taking a 10% commission, no advertising necessary we do it for you

hi Jorge,

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I wasn’t actually subscribed on this thread it seems!

Everything was done by hand. Unfortunately, in most cases the number of puzzles was determined by when I got tired of making levels and simply decided to stop.

The code is loosely commented (i.e., my own notes to self), so it’s probably not something that you can really learn much from, but I think that the game structure is simple enough for most devs to wrap their heads around.

Darren

Thanks for the reply Darren, I was mostly just wondering what the effort would be to extend the existing levels, for pipes and crate for example.

Jorge, I just sent you a direct message regarding the source code.

Hi Darren,

cool games - could you give more info about the performancen and the types revenue streams (IAPs, different ad network support etc.) for each of the games? Or are they “just” being sold as paid apps?

Best,

Thomas

hi Thomas,

They’re sold as paid apps. If you wish to implement in-app purchasing, you’ll have to edit the code yourself.

Update on this thread: I have now updated all but 1 of the apps to the Graphics 2.0 engine, so these should all work with the latest version of Corona.

The only one that was not updated was “Goal” (I have no plans to update that, so if you download Goal please keep in mind that you’ll need to build using a version of Corona that supports Graphics 1.0).

Hi Darren

i send you a pm , can you verify that please
