beyond blendMode like saturation, levels,…
Another Instagram or PixlOmatic kind of effects [import]uid: 8303 topic_id: 25965 reply_id: 325965[/import]

Interesting, although I don’t think Corona supports the imagemagick library, or access to bitmapdata directly (yet). Since the Box2D update is already in the works, I believe pixel access is the #1 requested feature (at least from me!) [import]uid: 49447 topic_id: 25965 reply_id: 105104[/import]
Corona have said that the way they use OpenGL would make pixel access ‘difficult’
This is making me scream and others with frustration.
We probably all want pixel access for different reasons: I know some folk want to do effects and some (like me) would be ecstatic just to be able to get my hands on an image and know that pixel (20,20) has a value of (100,23,230)
Thats all I need.
And I can’t understand what that can be so hard to achieve, except that the likelihood is that a whole bag of other requirements is brought to the table at the same time.
A bit like asking for a fork, but not getting it because ‘its no use without a knife, spoon, a cup, saucer, 2 plates, napkins, table, set of 6 chairs, and 4 friends to come round for dinner’
Something must be able to interrogate the screen pixmap, because a screen grab is possible.
If I had to, I’d show the picture on screen to get at a pixel value.
Imagemagik is probably a big ask, (even if it is public domain, so would ‘just’ need incorporating).
It would deal with images as files.
I know what its like when you have a big list of things to do. ‘Little’ things don’t look sexy and don’t look profitable.
Maybe the Particle Candy people can fill the gap?
As I have said before, I have money waiting.
