image to big or....

Hello. I got done making the artwork for my game and I made the image size of the background 800 x 1280, 'cause that’s what I was told to make it at. When I put my BG on corona it was to big and when I messed around the “config.lua” file it was still to big (fyi I used the corona docs for the “config.lua”). I don’t know what to do. Should I make my art BG smaller, if so what size should I make the BG?
