Image transparency and filters

I noticed that many of the filters do not respect the transparency bits on pngs.  For example, if i apply object.fill.effect.brightness and set the intensity = 1 i get a White rectangle even though my image has portions that were transparent.

This is not the way applications like photoshop behave.

Not sure if it is my approach but trying to apply filters to images containing transparency is not working the way i was hoping.

any guidance is appreciated.

Hi @mslack,

I know when G2.0 was released, some filters did not support transparency. Later, the engineers went in and corrected some of them to support it. Do you have a basic list (in addition to “brightness”) that clearly do not support it? If so, I can ask the engineers how difficult it would be to implement.

Thanks,

Brent

A fix will be available in tomorrow’s daily build. Please let us know if you have any further issues with transparency. Thanks!

Thanks for the quick response … cheers
