Another Kindle Fire bug, this one for the original Kindle Fire (NOT the HD version)
When sending an email with an image attached from an original Kindle Fire, the image type=“image” is ignored and is seen in the email source as Content-Type: text/html; The image thus looks like a giant block of garbage text rather than an inline image.
This is easily reproduced using Coronlabs sample project “ComposeEmailSMS”. Build and run on non-HD Kindle Fire, send the email with the two images attached, and they’ll be interpreted as text, rather than images, by the email client.
I tested sending an email with attachements from the same device, but not from within a Corona app, and the images came through correctly, so this seems like a bug on the Corona side.
The identical code works fine on Kindle Fire HD, Nook, Nook HD, and a slew of iOS devices I’ve tested on.
I’ve filed bug report 20733.
Hope this is also a quick fix. Thanks
