iMessage support?

Hello, I just took a look at the roadmap shown here http://www.coronalabs.com/resources/roadmap/ and noticed ‘iMessage’ under iOS. Does this mean we will see fully native iMessage support soon? To make it possible to send iMessage messages from within applications? If this is the case - how far away is this from becoming available in a Corona build?

We’ve been waiting for a long time for this feature and were planning on creating our own module but have hesitated due to the lack of emoji support if it was made using textObjects. Would love a reply from a staff member regarding the status of this feature if possible

Hi @Mitaten

Things on the Roadmap are things we would like to work on that have been requested. The items on the list are not in any particular order. I generally do not attend engineering meetings, so I can’t really speak to any order or time frames.

We have recently turned on a new feature:

http://feedback.coronalabs.com

where you can vote for features you would like and we are going to use that information to help guide our engineering efforts going forward. Though just because something has a high number of votes, doesn’t mean it will be the first thing worked on. There are many factors that go into deciding what things get worked on next, but we do want your input to be part of it.

So visit that site and vote up your iMessage feature request.

Thanks for the answer, will give it an upvote. Hope it is taken into consideration asap as it is an amazing feature to have in an app, makes for much better interactivity
