I have an app that includes the option of delivering user results (say for a quiz they’ve taken) to a web server. The facilitator of the class has the ability to sign up for access to an online website/dashboard that allows them to set up their class members and assign login info, and then view the resulting data that is collected. If I’m charging the facilitator a fee to sign-up for the online dashboard access, am I required to include that as an in-app purchase inside the app itself? Whether they use the dashboard or not doesn’t have any impact on the features of the app itself other than collecting the score results.
How is the facilitator paying for the service? If they are to pay through your app then yes I believe you will need an IAP. I don’t think Apple/Google allows for payments through apps that don’t go through them first.
They will pay for the service through the website/dashboard and not through the app.
if you are not using the app to bill the facilitator, then no, you don’t need IAP.
