in-app purchase workaround?

With Apple and Google taking 30% for inapp purchases. Is it possible to link a website account with an iphone/android phone and allow them to purchase coins/tickets on website and use them on the phone to get around paying that terrible 30%. Also, how does it work for sites like these? http://www.gamesinasia.com/8-android-app-stores-china/do we have some call we have to make to monetize the in-app purchase for non-google app stores? Thanks!

For non-jail broken Apple iOS devices, there is only one marketplace and that’s iTunes.  We don’t support jailbroken phones anyway and most people there are doing to get your stuff for free anyway.  So there is no way around it with Apple.

Google and Amazon offer their own IAP service and would expect that you would use their service.  However Android apps can be delivered from non Google/Amazon stores where they have no control.
