In-App Purchases with Starter Pack

Hello there,
First of all I would like to introduce myself, I’m a 14 years old student from France -that’s why my English may not be as good as yours-. I’m very keen on computer science and video games and decided to create an iPhone game, which was released a few days ago. It’s a labyrinth game called “The Square Maze”.
I’m currently enrolled into the Starter Pack, which is free, and have a few questions to ask.

-Is it allowed to put ads like iAds in my application and monetize it this way ?
-Can I put in-app purchases in my game ? If so, is there a limitation or something ? I’ve read that there’s only one limitation which is that you can earn up to $100k a year with the free pack, but is there anything else ?

Thanks you for your answers, and sorry for my horrible English.
Ulysse

Yes, Starter accounts are allowed to use advertising in their games.  As far as the $100,000 limit, if you’re making that kinda money, you should be able to afford the Corona SDK subscription which helps us keep making the product.

Starter accounts also have limitations that they can only use the release build which gets updated every 3-4 months or so.  They do not have access to InApp Purchases, daily builds, or premium plugins.

We just introduced a new pricing tier this week called Basic , which is the same as Starter but you get access to the InApp Purchase system and related plugins.  Still no daily builds, premium plugins and most of the new Graphics 2.0 features.  The revenue limit is a bit higher for Basic ($250,000).

You can see the pricing information here:  http://www.coronalabs.com/pricing/

And your English is quite good.

Thanks you for your fast answer. I think I’ll move to Basic pack when I get a few more downloads, because iAPs are very important for me. I was planning to release a paid version of the game on the Apple Store with more levels, but an in-game purchase seems better to me.
