Hello,
Does the INDIE Android only subs including builder for the Kindle Fire? I tested mine app in an HTC phone and my K.Fire and my app seems to be working fine in both platform. I just wondering if the Android subs includes both since both are based on Android 2.2. Thanks in advance. [import]uid: 123046 topic_id: 26166 reply_id: 326166[/import]
Hey there,
No, to build for the Kindle Fire you need to have a Pro subscription.
See comparison between subs here; http://www.anscamobile.com/pricing/

Ok thanks. Is there any plan to split the Kindle/Nook/whatever out of the Pro bundle and make it an INDIE Package? I for one, do not intent to join the Apple market cuz the initial cost is too high. I don’t see a reason why you don’t have a option to wave the iOS builder. Thanks again for the reply. [import]uid: 123046 topic_id: 26166 reply_id: 106086[/import]
As far as I know, no.
My opinion as a developer is that if you’re going to write an app you want to sell it on as many devices as possible - especially when you only have to write the code once with Corona. For that reason I’d think that as it would already be made you’d want to also list on the the Google Marketplace. (That is just my opinion.)
You could post about this in the Feature Requests sub forum, though.

yeah I do agree if I could post my app to all marketable places, I would. However, my understanding is that, in order to get into apple’s market, there is a very high front-end fee for the entry (something like 9 grands). I don’t have that budget as of now. I can afford Android or Amazon tho. Anyway, thanks for your reply. I will post this to the feature request forum as you suggested. [import]uid: 123046 topic_id: 26166 reply_id: 106687[/import]

Hey, just to clarify - no! There is not a high fee for Apple. It’s actually only $99 per year

Wow! is it? Must be my aging memory then. Or maybe its the cost of their SDK? I am kind of confused now. Looks like it’s quite feasible on $99 per year then. Thanks a bunch for the correction! I am gonna go check it out. [import]uid: 123046 topic_id: 26166 reply_id: 106914[/import]
Xcode is free the $99 fee is to list your apps for sale on the App Store.
So yes, it’s not so expensive - and with Corona you can build for iOS and Android with the same code so it’s certainly worth looking into
