Ingame volume control

I put in a volume control knob in the game (it’s translucent until you touch it so is not extremely noticeable/distracting)

What do you guys (game developers) think - is it a good idea to have it right there on the play screen or is it better hidden away in settings? [import]uid: 160496 topic_id: 28764 reply_id: 328764[/import]

Hey Mike,

If depends a bit on the kind of game I think; if it’s puzzle/casual/rpg or anything not action/fast-paced then in the game would be fine I’d think - but if it’s fast paced I’d put it in settings.

Just my 2 cents.

I’d put it in the settings since volume isn’t changed much in games in general. People mostly either shut off the background music in the settings and retain the sound effects, or switch the device to silent. [import]uid: 144908 topic_id: 28764 reply_id: 116166[/import]
