Inmobi not anymore supported?

We are working to release the Fuse plugin.  One of the benefits of FusePowered is the fact that we mediate with other ad vendors like InMobi.  With just one plugin, you will either be able to directly use InMobi through the one plugin.  No ETA on release but we are getting close.

Rob

but no BANNERS :(( Thats my latest info from Fuse !!

And if so, than with a 30% Profit Cut for Adrally Usage (thats what other wrote in Blog Comments)

For years we got Inmobi with Banners.

I dont use Interstitials and Corona just removed Inmobi Banner Support from today to tomorrow.

Since Fuse bought Corona few things have changed:

  1. There are two monetization features: AdRally and Mediation

  2. AdRally is the default monetization option and is integrated with many ad networks. Its built on a marketplace model.

To work with InMobi through AdRally, two app IDs will be created - one for static intersitials and one for video intersitials. There is no banner ad option through AdRally.

  1. Mediation - For any publisher who wants to work directly with InMobi (or any other platform) they will have to use mediation. To enable this, a publisher will have to reach out to the Fuse Support Team to get them to enable it. Banner ads ARE available through mediation.

Hope this solves your queries, guys. Feel free to reach out to me for more info

Strange, I did get InMobi working with test ads in banner320x50 format yesterday. Does this mean banner ads are only available in testmode and an action on the app dev’s part is required to get ads served in that format? Or is action required from InMobi before it’ll work?

“a publisher will have to reach out to the Fuse Support Team” didn’t tell me either way.

@Sohan,

thanks for the Info, I also had before.

Also Mediation seems to defined as:

“U can decide to use AdRally otherwise use ENTERPRISE” !

So even we had years of partnership lets say with Inmobi and used their Banners, from one day to another its decided that u come “forced” to use Entperprise! And thats a different Story to develop, I always was  Pro User and thats why I stood with Corona.

If u have another Info thats possible with Pro to ‘mediate’ directly with Inmobi and get Banners, i would be the first who dance

Enterprise… no way.

@henriks

what Corona Version (daily built) do u use? Very intersting  Usually when the testmode work it will also work when published. Will not put my hands in fire for that… but never had that problem.

Hey @guruk

Post acquisition, Fuse Powered made the pro tier free for all users and removed the monetisation plugin options. All free and previously pro developer licensees are automatically integrated with Ad Rally which is also the default monetisation feature provided by Fuse.

? Sorry I dont understand a word.

That still say, there are NO Banners available and former ‘longyear’ direct Relations me and some other Developers made with

Inmobi will be gone. Right. We cant handle directly with them and have to live from the ‘pool’ of advertisers AdRally gives us.

Still for me the most sad, NO BANNERS from Inmobi anymore !!

Can u say something different? I would be happy.

Will Corona still partner with ad networks, and/or make available ad networks’ SDKs as plugins?

Yes, we still plan on working with ad networks. In fact, this opens up more partnership opportunities as there will be ways to work with both the Corona platform and Fuse’s AdRally platform. Over the next few weeks we will have more information on this.

so why is than the Inmobi SDK removed?? really why, makes no sense for me at all.

After the third go at trying to make Inmobi work I have to give it up. Best I could get was incorrectly formatted banner test ads on Android, no test ads on IOS at all. No error messages at all in console, just a reminder to change the identifier before publishing in the store.

We’d like to

  • serve banner ads

  • have as high eCPM as possible

  • for as wide a geographical region as possible (international app)

  • and we’d like to keep using Corona.

Is there a way?

Any tips greatly appreciated.

So I just get a later daily build, or is InMobi still unavailable or unavailable to the current Free SDK? Adding it in build.settings was enough to trigger this.

To clarify: I have “Starter” and would like to use InMobi banner ads in my new app.

Is it just an error thrown because I’m testing in the Simulator, and can I still use it when I build for Device? Is it possible to make a conditional entry in build.settings, in that case?

Hi Henrik

Do you have an enterprise license?

Nope

When the Corona Labs plugin store supports paid plugins, we will be releasing a host of them for a fair price. ($5>20 bucks, is the initial estimate per plugin). We would be happy to make a plugin for inMobi.

We cannot do this until the store supports paid plugins, as maintaining and implementing your own licensing system is too time consuming and financially burdening.
