InnerActive Ads for paid App

Hi Guys,

I submitted an Free APP to Apple App store waiting for review.
This App is with InnerActive Ads enabled. Now I changed App from Free to Paid App, is it OK to show inneractive ads for paid App, I mean is this violating Apple TOS? otherwise I have to resubmit binary without Ads enabled.

Thank you in advance [import]uid: 83418 topic_id: 19837 reply_id: 319837[/import]

No but you might piss a lot of people off. The reason I pay for an app is to NOT see ads. Otherwise, why bother?

What is the purpose of ads on a paid app? What are you trying to accomplish?

Again, I know most people get mad when ads show up on free games, and then pay. There was some game I liked, but I paid for it and then ads still showed. I wrote the developer a nasty email about it. It was a year ago, can’t remember who it was lol.

So just something to think about?

Honestly I agree with @nicholasclayg.

I hate to see ads on something as apps I`ve paid for…IMHO.
Just my .2 cents btw.

You’re not going to violate any Apple TOS, but as said above, if I’m paying for an app, it needs to be ad free.

Hey Mila,

At inneractive we also suggest not to present ads on paid versions.
It is easy to create 2 apps, one with ads and the other without ads. For the lite version you can even display several screens and not the full version of the app so that users that choose to pay for your app will enjoy the benefit of free ad app and more screens/ features/ levels.

In terms of Apple, you are not violating anything.

Hi Orly,nicholasclayg and @RSCdev ,

Thank you for your advise.
Actually, when I submit the App to Apple, I submitted as Free APP with InnerActive Ads turn on. After submission, I changed mind, and wanted App to be paid version, I did not want to resubmit it by removing the Ads, because resubmit will reset the queue waiting for review by Apple.

Finally, I decided and Reject the Binary by myself, and uploaded the version with no Ads.

I will do two version, one pad with NO ads, and one free with Ads.

Thanks

Mila

I agree with everyone else. It’s really rude to put advertisements in paid applications, I honestly don’t even like putting ad’s in my free apps, because as a consumer it annoys me. I think In-App purchases and a free game are the way to go. I would remove the advertisements ASAP before to many people download your game.

I agree with you too Ninja Pig. I think that the IAP is the way to go, and IMO it does looks like “modern” for the consumer/customer as well.

The problem is that I even did not try code something using IAP thinking already that it is too hard to go with right now, but by the other side, I really do not know if it is a really “hard-work” insering code for IAP into our apps. :\

So, would you mind giving some “tip” as the way to go “easy-way” implementing IAP into our apps?
Thanks in advance,

I actually haven’t implemented In-App Purchases yet in my games since they are currently only for Android devices. Once Corona supports In-App Purchases for iPhone, I will attempt to do it! All I can recommend is looking at the documentation and just test it out.

Mila,

I have two apps that are free at the moment, and I want to make then free with in app purchases. Is it possible to put ads in the free portion of the apps and none in the additional content utilizing “in-app purchases”. I will be adding content as opposed to levels. They are ebooks.
