Inneractive iPad banner looks squashed - normal?

Hey Guys,

It is true that iAd are working with different banner sizes - they have their standard.
We are working under the MMA guideline due to the many different aganecies and ad-networks that we work with.

Regarding the iPAD banner size - it doesn’t appear in the MMA guideline yet and we present the banners that ad-networks send us (766x66).

Here are all the sizes that we support:

  • 300X50
  • 320X53
  • 216X36
  • 168X28
  • 120X20

@ robmiracle - in order to show more ads you will need to use the 320X53 size. We do have some ads for 320X50 but not as many as 320X53.

I hope this helps

Sorry I haven post nothing in a while but I have been very busy. Ads on Android 4.0 are working great now, but on Android Tablets the problem is similar as the one on iPad.

You can see these problem in our game “Bacon Punch”. You can find it on Android market. Android Tablets are very very weird. Problem only exists if you use “Stretch to fill screen” setting for “app zooming”. If you use “Zoom to fill screen” the Ad is ok. I guess stretching messes up the ratios. For easier reference here is also a picture:

First with “Stretch to fill screen”:

And second with “Zoom to fill screen”:

We are also experiencing the same issue on android tablets (honeycomb) as described by Jan3594.

But even on gingerbread/froyo devices we get once in a while a very large banner that consumes almost half of the screen hiding our game objects which is a showstopper for us for now.

All I can say is that the ad is in hebrew (we’re in Israel) and I don’t recall the ad content itself but I’ll post again once I see it.

For now we are going to release a paid version with no ads and the free version will come in the near future. If this is not solved quickly enough we might go with the AdMob ‘hack’ I’ve been reading about in a different post, but we’d rather go with an official API…
