Inneractive Settings Banner Size?

Hey guys,

I am at the point of putting ads in my project as its almost ready for release…Now I am very new to any type of ad within my app and am a little confused at how to actually determine or set the banner size of the ad…

The reason for this is my app uses alot of the screen and I need to know how much of the screen the ad will take up so that certain interactive objects dont appear over or under the ad, aswell as the need to center the ad…

I am releasing the app for android only for the time being if that has anything to do with banner size. I remember reading a post where someone from inner-active told someone to set their banner adds to 320x53 to maximize the amount of ads they get, but no information on how to actually do this

Also another quick question, When I use ads.hide() does it remove the ad from memory such as display.remove removes the memory used? Or does this simply hide it as if u do .isVisible to a display object?
Thanks for your time and effort! [import]uid: 141138 topic_id: 26393 reply_id: 326393[/import]

You can find info on available ad sizes here: http://developer.anscamobile.com/reference/index/ads/adsshow

As for ads.hide() I am pretty sure it acts the same way as display.remove it also prevents new ads being retrieved [import]uid: 84637 topic_id: 26393 reply_id: 107298[/import]

Hi Danny,

I have reviewed that page many times and still nothing to do with the actual size of Inneractive banner sizes that will be displayed…
The problem I am having is on tablet the ads are positioned perfectly centered, however on any phone the add is off center and hangs off screen

Ive ready about the x = contentWidth * 0.5 - 160 “fix” but this does not work properly on the tablets as it places the ad on the top left of the screen instead of centered

I really want to use Inneractive but Inmobi seems alot easier to deal with knowing the banner size of the ad, however I havent heard very good things about Inmobi with fillrate

Thanks for taking the time to help…

Also this is the last thing I need to get working properly in order to have my app ready for release so any help is greatly appreciated [import]uid: 141138 topic_id: 26393 reply_id: 107306[/import]

Ok, that’s nice to have the format dimensions. However, I found out some ad banner did not fully populate the screen width (my htc android test phone). As such, I need to calculate where to put the ad banner so it will at least centered in the screen. Similarity, certain session(s) on my current app is using upper portion of the screen where my lower portion of the screen is not being fully used. I like to put the banner in the lower screen and for that, I need the height of the banner. So, all in all, where can I find the exact dimension of the incoming ad banner? Does it come with the adListener event? If not, how can I detect it? Thanks in advance. [import]uid: 123046 topic_id: 26393 reply_id: 109092[/import]

Hey,

The 2 banners for iPhone and regular Android devices are:
300 x 50
320 x 53
So you will have a height of either 50 or 53 pixels.
Regarding the center - yes you will need to calculate it. [import]uid: 109623 topic_id: 26393 reply_id: 109189[/import]
