Install error - Icons black!

Hi there - 

I can’t install my apps on my ipad 2 anymore - I just get black icons with “Installation”, nothing more! Any idea - I’m using Corona SDK Version 2014.2189 (2014.3.6). I tested it with the Hello Physic Sample - still the same. Thank you

Hi Anthony,

Does it work on other devices? This could be some issue specifically to the iPad2, perhaps its version of iOS, the provisioning profiles installed on it, etc.

Are your icons 24 bit (in Photoshop Terms, or 32 bit for people who count the alpha transparency layer), PNG format?

Hi there - new strange news!

I tried it on an other device (ipod iOS 6.1.6) and the apps couldn’t be installed. So I tried an other profile: One app works fine, an other started with the default png, after that a dark screen followed - the end! All other profiles and apps still got the same icon problem and didn’t start. 

So I try it again and came to this solution:

If I use a fresh Graphics 2.0 project it works!

An old (converted from graphics 1.0) project didn’t works.

So my question at this point - it’s the profile or it’s something other?

Tomorrow I’ll delete all profiles and rebuild them again - maybe I get a solution. Thanks for support…

Yes - got it!

  1. I deleted all profiles an rebuild them - the icon problems was gone.

  2. The blackscreen problem came from an outdated facebook plugin.

So everything is fine - I just updated my app - happy eastern (ok, too late now)   :smiley:

  1. I deleted all profiles an rebuild them - the icon problems was gone.
