Installing Corona apps via iPhone Configuration Utility no longer works after update to Mavericks

I moved this over from the Newbie Forum because I forgot about this one. Sorry.

Ever since updating to OSX Mavericks, I can no longer deploy my Corona apps to my test devices using iPhone Configuration Utility. It crashes immediately and shows a large error log. What sticks out to me is:

Exception Type:  EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)

Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000000

FYI, Building for Xcode Simulator still works fine. Any ideas?

Hello,

try this http://www.diawi.com/

I use it many time and it work well

I copy few lines

Diawi  is a tool for iOS developers to deploy  Development  and  Ad hoc   iOS applications  directly to the device.

1.  Upload  the application and its provisioning profile.
2.  Send  the link to your testers, clients, friends or even use it yourself.
3.  Open  the link in Safari on the iOS device and click on install.

Neat tool! Thanks! I wish I knew about that months ago.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but how does the .zip file get created? All I see is ipa files.

Hello

on Mac Os X , secondary clic => compress=> zip file drag and drop on diawi page

or create an ad hoc profile and Corona sdk compile to zip

Thanks! I forgot that any Dist/Ad Hoc profile will create the zip file.

I am having the same Crash of the “iPhone Configuration Utility” trying to install my app since upgrading to Maverics … Any insights into this from the Corona Team?

Seems that there are a few Maverics related issues.

Note i am on build 1256

At what point do you get the crash? List the steps you do.

NM, I think you’ll find that the iPhone Configuration Utility doesn’t work for anyone on MacOSX 10.9. It’s nothing to do with Corona, you’ll have to talk to Apple.

Both those threads mention a workaround.

Never thought to look for this thread on Corona too…

FWIW, I filed a bug with Apple back when Mavericks released. In short order the bug was closed as a duplicate of another bug which has also been closed. (Unfortunately since Apple has no interest in talking to anyone about their bug database, we have no idea if that means ICU will be updated or if it will simply be deprecated.)
