invalid Binary from iTunes -- please I need help

Hi everyone…

I just submit my app for the iPad and the iPhone

this is the first time…

I already have 2 apps just for iPad and no problem.

Now I got this e-mail form itunes

iPhone 5 Optimization Requirement -
Your binary is not optimized for iPhone 5.
New iPhone apps and app updates submitted targeting iOS 6 and above must support
the 4-inch display on iPhone 5 and

must include a launch image
with the -568h size modifier immediately following the <basename>
portion of the launch image’s filename.

Launch images must be PNG files
and located at the top-level of your bundle, or provided within each
.lproj folder if you localize your launch images.
Learn more about iPhone 5 support and app launch images by reviewing
the iOS Human Interface Guidelines
and iOS App Programming Guide.

I went to those 2 places but it’s just way too much and I don’t get it.

What is it exactly that I need? And what do I do to fix it?

I think I need an image.png – but waht is the basename

and how do I add that image in storyboard?

Thanks

Thank you JonPM

I made the files and I submit the app one more time

I hope this time works.

This link help me a lot.

It would have taken me many hours to find it.

Thanks a lot!

Victor

Did your binary got accepted after adding these images?

Mine just keeps getting rejected… and I’m pretty sure I have the correct image.

I’m still waiting.

–waiting for review

I will let you know as soon as I know.

I hope it will get it accepted.

I just received an e-mail from apple.

–REJECTED

sad.

They say I need a “privacy policy” because my app it’s for kids.

I don’t even know what it’s that

any idea?

They did not say anything about the “launch images” I hope they are correct.

This is a different message from Apple and it looks like your launch image solved the problem.

However, you do need a privacy policy.  In iTunes Connect there is a field for you to enter a URL to a web page that describes what information your app collects.  US Rules prohibit apps from collecting any information that can identify a child under the age of 13 without the parents consent.  Now Corona does collect some information on apps for analytical purposes, which can be turned of with a setting in your config.lua.  We have written a couple of blog posts and have a couple of pages on privacy policies that you need to be aware of.

Again, you will need a website where you can put up a page that says what information you collect (or that you collect none) and I would advise that you look at turning off the “dashboard analytics” in your config.lua.  The above blog posts cover the information you need to do that.

I didn’t really want a launch image in my app.  What do you recommend.  Just putting in a black picture so no one can tell what is going on and the app just starts?

Yes, that’s probably best.
