iOS 10 Question - Which build should I use?

Hello!

I received a screenshot of one of my apps on iOS 10 beta where the text was messed up. Instead of text, the characters were showing up in boxes with questions marks in the middle.

My understanding was that iOS 9 apps should run fine on iOS 10. However, it looks like I need to do some troubleshooting. If I wanted to build for iOS 10 to make sure my app is compatible, what build version should I be using? Is there a recommended one?

Thank you for the help!

iOS 9 apps should run just fine on iOS 10. You can use any recent build of Corona SDK (2906 or later). What you need is a device with iOS 10 on it. Apple released the “gold master” on Wednesday which is the version they are sending to the hand-set makers to install. So it’s not a beta version. You can put it on a test device and install your app and see what’s happening.

Okay, thanks!

If anyone is curious (I know this is late), here’s the gist of installing the iOS 10:

On your iPhone, go to developer.apple.com. Login, go to downloads, download iOS 10. Your phone will restart. After the restart, go to software update to update to iOS 10. Pretty straightforward.
