iOS 11 Build Error -3

Hey,

After i updated to iOS 11 on my iPhone 6S, Whenever i try and build the app to my phone, it says gives me an error saying:

ERROR: Could not connect to lockdownd, error code -3

Error running /Applications/CoronaSDK-3144/Corona Simulator.app/Contents/Resources/ios\_sendapp.sh ( "/Users/Jake/Documents/Jupiter Builds/iOS/Jupiter.app", "iPhone OS" ) ERROR: Could not connect to lockdownd, error code -3 ERROR: Could not connect to lockdownd, error code -3 ERROR: no USB connected devices detected (if one is attached, try reconnecting it)

It only started doing this after i updated to iOS11. It opens in the iOS Simulator though.

I believe iOS 11 broke the command line tool we use to install the app to the device for you. You will have to do it the old-fashioned way. Open Xcode and to to “Windows->Devices & Simulators” (CMD-SHFT–2).  If your device is tethered, select it in the left column. In the center click the + and navigate to the build that Corona produced.  You can also have Corona “Show in Finder” and in theory drag-and-drop to the Xcode device’s window.

Thanks Rob! That took care of it.

It would be great to have that link fixed though…

It’s on our list to look into. We like the ability to install from the Simulator

Thanks Rob, installation through Xcode9 using “Windows->Devices & Simulators” is fine.

Seeing Corona log is not possible there, lot of logs in Xcode. It would be great  ideviceinstaller  to be back soon. Here is thread that may help to solve it quickly.

You can view the device log using the macOS built-in Console app. With that app you select your device and add filters to only view the information you want to see.

It is confirmed. Installation from Simulator is back in build 2017.3157.

Great news! Thanks for letting us know. I was missing that too!
