Hello Community, I’m using Corona 704 version, because if I update the version I cannot test my game on iPod Touch 2. Is there a way to run it with the last version? [import]uid: 81091 topic_id: 23419 reply_id: 323419[/import]

Apple has dropped support for the older devices (and OSes) and so have we in order to move on and include the latest features into Corona. We no longer include the ARM6 library starting with build 707 and make the minimum OS 4.3. This makes the APP file smaller and allows us to optimize for the newer devices. I understand your point, but as indie developers, we are losing a quote of the market, because almost every good game on the App Store is 3.x or later. [import]uid: 81091 topic_id: 23419 reply_id: 93958[/import]
The market of devices that can’t upgrade to iOS 4.3 is very, very small we (and Apple) felt that you have to move forward and not penalize all devices for a small and shrinking minority of devices. We still offer build 704A if you want to still support these older devices. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 23419 reply_id: 93964[/import]
Yes, is small, but every download for a indie developer like me is important. But well, I’m using build 704 for that reason, the thing that I need to know is, if there is a way to use the GameCenter standalone version (without Openfeint), like this http://blog.anscamobile.com/2012/01/tutorial-game-center-integration-ios/ or use GameCenter (Leaderboards and Achievements) like Doodle Jump.
Thanks. [import]uid: 81091 topic_id: 23419 reply_id: 94134[/import]
Stand-alone GameCenter is not available for build 704A. It is deeply embedded into Corona and there are no plans to back-port the implementation. [import]uid: 7559 topic_id: 23419 reply_id: 94135[/import]
Apple did not introduce/make available Game Center until iOS 4.1. And we know there are bugs that weren’t fixed until 5.0.
