iOS 5.1 Beta and new Xcode 4.3 Preview

Apple has released iOS 5.1 for us to test our apps against and supposedly has improved battery usage again. I would like to install it, except that there is an Xcode 4.3 preview that goes with it.

I’m presuming that if I load 5.1 my current Xcode (4.2) won’t let me install to my device any longer (I guess I could use iTunes to load my apps in development) and I will need 4.3 Preview.

But . . . is that going to break Corona SDK? Is the latest daily build cool with 4.3?

Hey Rob,

I had to ask one of Ansca’s finest about your predicament and was advised that someone in the office checked it out today and 4.3 seemed to install fine on an iPod Touch running iOS 5.1.

He also mentioned that running a beta Xcode version wont let you build for the App Store, so keep that in mind.

His last suggestion was that you could keep Xcode 4.2 and see if the latest iTunes will allow you to download to the device.

Hope this helps!

now that iOS 5.1 has been released, how will it affect existing corona apps / games? just wondering if there are any essential updates to consider making.
