iOS 7 submission

hi all,

just curious. has anyone built against ios 7 and submitted it?

i am just about to update most of my apps, and build against 7.0.

Seems to work fine… any experiences or bugs that i am not aware of (beside the already adressed textfield and status bar bugs)?

You can’t submit an ios7 build right now. Corona seems to be behind all other mobile development environments when it comes to “ios7 ready” builds. Sort of like the graphics 2.0 stuff we’ve been promised for over 5 months now - but have yet to see.

well, since i am an enterprise user, i can build for ios 7

…and in the end, all will be fine I guess

@lessmsios: What is the problem with submitting an iOS 7 release build? Are there any problems with the building/submitting process at the moment?

The iOS 7 build is for the beta you will get this error if you try and build with the 7.0 beta:

“Distribution Code Signing Identities are not allowed with Beta SDKs”

This was earlier posted by others and Walter said they will remove the beta flag once some bugs are fixed.

ok, didn’t know that since i am using corona enterprise.

i am a bit worried about possible bugs. i have tested different apps built against 7.0, and all seemed to work fine.

Ah thank you very much. Well, I hope they fix it very soon.

“iOS - Switch to building with iOS7 by default - no casenum”

so this means, its enabled now for pro users?

I think so… There is no option to switch between iOS6 and iOS7 beta anymore so they MUST have fixed it. I did not use my distributional profile yet but I hope it works now.

do you actually need the final Xcode version for Pro accounts?  (i.e. not Enterprise)   Corona just sends the files back to their servers to build so it shouldn’t be needed should it?

I am using the xCode GM release but I will upgrade to the latest version in one or two weeks just to make sure there are no unexpected errors when submitting my projects to Apple.

The latest xCode version is not required to build for iOS. During the iOS7 beta I´ve been using the very first xCode release and had no problems at all

I just got my first update approved built against iOS 7.

Does this mean when I now submit an app with 1217, it will work under iOS 6.1 and iOS7?

Or is suddenly iOS7 required for the user to download my app from the appstore?

thx
