iOS 7 Update, Corona Built Apps no longer work

Ever since I have updated my phone to iOS 7, when I build my app in CoronaSDK and import it into Xcode’s Organise and try and install it on my device I get a Provisioning Profile Error, I am using the latest public build of CoronaSDk, is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

Do I need to use Corona’s Daily builds to make my provisioning Profiles work on ios7?

Or is the latest public build of corona setup for Xcode 5 already?

So I didn’t experience that but thanks for warning me. Better not update to iOS7…

@jakesampson98 i’m getting the same issue actually.  I wonder whether we need to update our provisioning profiles or something? no idea dude  :frowning:

Feeew… I’m happy I’m not the only one with this problem…

Well Im not happy about this situation… but I think you get the Jist…

Cheers dude, feeling relieved

Really frustrated now though, I have removed all my provisioning profiles, re-installed them, still getting the error in Xcode’s Organiser. Don’t know what to do   :frowning:

I have no idea mate.  I literally just tried a quick deployment this morning before I went to work. I’ll have a proper look tonight though once I get in from work and update this post if I find anything.

Hopefully in the meantime somebody else will have figured out what the issue is

Cheers! I hope someone really finds a fix or way around this, its such a pain always using the Simulator, especially when your app uses the iPhones accelerometers  :frowning:

The sooner someone fixes this, the better  ;)

Hi all,

Make sure you’ve fully updated everything on the Apple side esp. XCode5. I just built an app using Corona #1202 (most recent public) and installed it on an iPad4 running iOS7. Works just fine, no issues whatsoever. Likewise, I didn’t need to change/update anything with my provisioning profiles or certificates in the Apple Dev Portal, I just built and installed via the XCode Organizer.

Best regards,

Brent

What Brent said, but in addition…

When you attach an iOS 7 device to Xcode the first time, you have to click the “Use for Development” button.  If you are not using Xcode to move apps over, but iTunes or the other app installer tool thingy, and you’re device has not been put into developer mode, you may encounter this error.

But with the combo of iOS 7, Xcode 5, clicking that button, I’ve not had to change a single certificate or profile to build and install.

Thanks Everyone!

I deleted all my previous provisioning profiles, certificates from my Mac, and downloaded some fresh ones from apples developer portal, and everything is working perfectly!

I haven’t tried another build to device again as yet. Will give it another try in a bit. Cheers guys Rich
