iOS: Audio gone after phone call

Looking at openradar, I found this bug filed by Ewing:

I found it while searching for a solution for a bug in our games, where a phone call interruption makes the audio disappear. For good. The only way to restore audio is to exit and restart.

Eric’s answer to that question was to get as many people file a bug report with Apple so that they move it up their priority list. There apparently isn’t a work around that will work.

Have you tried this on a device with iOS 6.1 beta?

thanks for your feedback. No, I have only tested this in the xcode sim and on my device running 6.0.2. If this is fixed in 6.1 then everything is good, we’ll just leave everything as is and wait for 6.1 to be released.

The audio issues I’ve experienced were solved in 6.1, but I would still highly recommend that you test with a 6.1 beta device yourself.
