ios devices and android devices- images size

Hi everyone.
i am creating some images for my game and some images, isnt good the coners have some defect, my image for the iphone is per exemple, using de ui button, x is 55 and y = 45, it is running on the iphone, but on the ipad what resolution i should use? and when i use android devices that the screen is smaller than iphone or ipod screen, the image size is the same? i really want to understand some about the size and resolution about the same image using on, iphone,ipod,android devices, ipad etc

iPhone 4 & 4S resolution is 960x640 and earlier iPhones are 480x320.

Google it up, device screen resolutions are a simple fact to find.

As David said the newer iPhones have a larger (double) the resolution. (Retina display.)
