iOS update to 6.1.2 breaking sound

As soon as iOS 6.1.2 update was released I have a customer complaining about ‘no sounds’ in my Corona created app (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/start-stop-timer/id568759948?mt=8). In testing on my own devices, the exact same reported behavior appears on the iPhone 5 but not the 3GS.

The app was built with build 2012.929 if that makes any difference.

Anyone else seeing this behavior in their apps and iOS 6.1.2?

FYI I have power cycled the device and closed ALL other running apps to make sure there wasn’t some other sound channel conflict (I have scene behavior in the past where sound from other apps seems to ‘supercede’ sound from a Corona app).

Hmmmm, this might not be a Corona issue.

Angry Birds for instance on my iPhone 5 w/6.1.2 exhibits same behavior. [import]uid: 9189 topic_id: 36258 reply_id: 144028[/import]

Please keep us posted. It seems that Apple (and Android) seem to “break” something audio related on every OS upgrade. There’s a fairly established trend with this. Let me mention this to the engineering team this week and see if they’ve heard more about it.

Uhhhhh…it’s working now. So, my bad and false alarm. :frowning: [import]uid: 9189 topic_id: 36258 reply_id: 144104[/import]
