iOS7 statusbar

I set my statusbar to white like that:

display.setStatusBar( display.TranslucentStatusBar )

for some reason on a real device this status bar is not transparent like it is on the xcode simulator.

any advice?

Yes, I’ve seen that.

But there is no way to get white text on transparent background, is there?

Why is it different on the iOS Simulator compared to a real iOS device?
