iOSResizer by Blue Bilby - auto-resize your graphics assets!

It’s about time I gave a nice contribution to the community, so here goes!

Lately, I’ve been getting tired of creating assets in different sizes for the many iOS platforms: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4/4S & iPad, new iPad!

I only want to create the graphics once and let the computer do the rest, so I now present : iOSResizer by Blue Bilby!

Just download and decompress the zip file, stick it on your desktop or in your dock and away you go!

Drag-and-drop your ‘new iPad’ graphics images onto the icon and it will automatically create a folder on the desktop called “iOSResizer Images”. Inside you will find your new resized images, complete with suffixes!

eg. Your folder:

FunkyStickman.png Background1.png GameOver.png
The iOSResizer Desktop folder “iOSResizer Images”:

FunkyStickman.png FunkyStickman@2x.png FunkyStickman@4x.png Background1.png Background1@2x.png Background1@4x.png GameOver.png GameOver@2x.png GameOver@4x.png
Copy them to your application’s graphics directory and away you go!
How easy is that?

Click the image above to grab it from the Blue Bilby website now!

This sounds great. I clicked on the icon link, but it’s not loading the destination page. It could be either because tons and tons of people are now going there to fetch it, and it’s simply too many for your server to handle, or that my super irritating internet connectivity issue is back again.

By the way, what graphics engine do you use for resizing the images? Do you use some commonly available system graphics software (like paint for windows and… I don’t even know what usually comes with mac) ??

Naomi

Edit: I just fixed the typo above. And, yeah, it looks like it’s my internet connectivity issue rather than your website. Yikes. [import]uid: 67217 topic_id: 24882 reply_id: 101039[/import]

It uses functionality from the built-in Preview app.

I hope you all get some good use from it! [import]uid: 10389 topic_id: 24882 reply_id: 101118[/import]
