iPhone 5 launch image

Hi,

I’ve been facing this trouble about a couple of days and can’t find out what’s wrong. I’ve 5 launch images for the 5 different iOS devices [iPhone, iPhone retina display, iPhone 5, iPad and iPad retina display] with their 5 specific names [Default.png, Default@2x.png, Default-568h@2x.png, Default-Portrait.png and Default-Portrait@2x.png]. iPhone, iPhone retina display, iPad and iPad retina display works [at least, in the simulator] perfectly, but not iPhone 5

Its size is correct [640x1136], it’s located at the top folder, its name’s correct too… Does somebody know what’s the matter?

we dont know the problem

need more details

You may want to try re-saving the file by re-typing the file name  Default-568h@2x**.png** (just in case it uses wrong “-”, which caused me issues when I copied and pasted the file name from a forum/blog post.)

hi Naomi, I did all of the above, but the iPhone5 simulator seems to be pulling in the Default.png instead. I swapped out the image to be sure.

Hi @mkelly,

I believe the Simulator pulls the default one, but the “tall” image will work just fine on the actual iPhone5 or iPod Touch 5th-gen.

Best regards,

Brent

good to know, Brent. thanks! I got my app to work on all iDevices using the Default-568h@2x.png, Rob Miracle’s config.lua and aukStudios update of Rob’s config.lua script in combination with using my background image as the relative source for placement of all the display and physics objects. I had to add a little design work at the bottom to cover the gap, but I am ecstatic!
