Hello!
I have a strange issue on the iPhone with a custom font I am using for a project.
When using the app in german language mode, every german umlaut “Ä” is shown as a normal “A”.
I have attached two screenshots to demonstrate, one from the simulator showing how the loading screen should look like, and the other how it actually looks like at the moment on the iPhone.
What’s interesting is the fact that the other umlauts (like “Ö” and “Ü”) are displayed correctly. So I do not think it is an encoding error.
Something I noticed is that the upper space (the space from the top start of a font object to the visible part of the font) is very small to even zero on the iPhone (but not on Android and the Simulator) for this custom font.
Could it be the case, that the dots of the “Ä” are out of the font boundaries on iOS, and so they do not become rendered?
What can be done to solve this problem?
Thank you very much for your help!
