Is 828 really the latest?

I could have sworn I saw tweets saying that build 830 was successful, but when I went to the Daily Builds page, nothing past 828 was shown. Are you guys hiding it, or were they recalled? [import]uid: 6084 topic_id: 27214 reply_id: 327214[/import]

Hey,

As you likely saw in a recent blog post we’re nearing a stable release so I suspect this is related. (Testing, or the like.)

@peach That would be great :wink:

Hopefully it’s sooner than later :slight_smile: [import]uid: 38820 topic_id: 27214 reply_id: 110719[/import]

It will be soon; I doubt this week but I’d imagine next week. According to the blog post I believe it’s due around now however normally you should allow an extra week for any last minute kinks.

@Peach,

Hey do you know if we will be able to rollback to the current
public release (2011.704) once the new release is out, or is Ansca going to remove the 704 ver. all together?

Just wondering if by choice we want to use the old over the new and will it still work for developing code on the servers…(compile, accept, etc…)

This would make two public versions available…for code
differences…and testing…:wink:

Thanks

Hah, hi Larry -

I can’t give you an official answer and it’s currently 5am Saturday morning in Palo Alto and everyone but me, I would hope, is asleep - however I can tell you that historically we’ve never done anything that interferes with older versions compiling. (Some people still use build 319 and 399 on Windows and Mac respectively to build for old Android ARMv6 devices.)

I don’t know if you are on Mac or PC - if on Mac you can certainly keep both the old and new version around without issue. I’m unsure how it works on PC, however.

Whether or not it’s left available as a “public” release, I’m not sure - I’ve never had a trial account and it isn’t my department but I *think* it should still be available even if you are a test user.

I hope that helps a bit - if you bug me on Monday I can probably get you some info from the top if you wish.
