Is a Macbook from 2008 ok for Corona SDK?

Hi I want the cheapest option for getting Corona to build for IOS can i get some advice about this one?

The hardware on that machine is probably sufficient, but you’ll need at least OS X 10.9 and Xcode 6.1+ to run Corona. You’ll need to check Apple’s resources to see if this machine can be upgraded as such.
