So I was just given an impossible task… My boss volunteered me to create an app for the holidays.
Background:
I am a web developer and my experience with mobile development is a couple PhoneGap projects and some simple Corona hello world and physics editing. I would like to use this opportunity to learn more in Corona, hence my wanting to use it. The app would be for promotional purposes for my company and he is looking for iOS and Android.
Project:
Similar to the Walking Dead’s Dead Yourself app in that we want to take a photo of the user that is then modified. The catch is the modification is certain parts of the photo would then be stretched and adjusted and blended back in with alpha masks. In my head it seems possible by cloning the photo once taken and cropping to the certain parts, transforming them, then applying the masks… but inevitably there will be surprises I am sure.
So my questions are…
Does this seem possible with Corona?
Is it practical with Corona?
If not is there something you would recommend I use to accomplish the task?
