Is Corona useable on the latest 10.10 previews?

Are the daily builds useable on the latest 10.10 developer previews (7, 8) yet? I remember seeing that there was a bug out to Apple at some point in another post for an OpenGL error that was preventing the simulator from running properly.

I know 10.10 is still in beta, but are we able to simulate and build apps running 10.10 yet?

Yosemite 10.10 DP8 solves the bug that was breaking Corona SDK.  Daily build 2014.2437 turns back on the various features we had to turn off.  Unless Apple breaks it again, it should be good now.

I just want to confirm in case anyone else is wondering…  In DP 7, I received a warning from the simulator about native libraries being disabled (due to the Apple bug), but in DP 8, all is ok and working properly. Thanks!

The latest daily build and Yosemite DP8 are working as expected.

Yosemite Gold Master Candidate is out. Should I update? I have the public release 2014.2393a. Thanks!

I’m using Daily Build 2014.2449 (Sept 30) and updated to GM Candidate 1 last night. No issues here with the simulator or building. Since DP 8, Corona seems to be running pretty well. Not sure about the public releases, but the latest daily builds seem to work fine in my case.

Are you able to build binaries with Xcode 6.1 GM Candidate as well?

Haven’t tried Xcode 6.1. I have another project that I’m in the middle of on 6.0, so I can’t risk updating yet.

You can build binaries, however you will not be able to submit to Apple with Xcode 6.1 GM. I made sure I was using the iOS 8.0 SDK since iOS 8.1 is still labelled beta, but that made no difference.

I made the mistake of thinking that since Xcode 6.1 is labelled GM seed (not GM candidate) that Apple would accept binaries compiled with it, but alas, I was wrong. When trying to upload a binary to iTunes Connect it was rejected with the reason along the lines of “You cannot upload binaries created with pre-release software…bla…bla”
