Is It Possible To Create AppStore Applications From Windows?

I am using Corona SDK in Windows and I want to create mobile applications for IPad.

Is it possible to do so if I do not have an Apple computer at all?

No, you absolutely need a Mac to upload the app to the AppStore.

This really bugged me before, but I have to buy a mac to do the work.

If you want, Corona developers have a promotion of renting a mac in the cloud.

Thank you for your reply.

The things they can think of nowadays are simply amazing! I guess if I am serious in developing for AppStore, I should get a Mac myself.

What is the minimum Apple computer model I can buy for this purpose?

An Intel-Based Mac would be fine, just don’t get a PowerPC one (Those are very old).

In order to run Xcode 4.3 and publish apps for iOS 5.1 you will need OSX Lion.

And sometimes Windows can be useful! After I got the Mac I stil primarily use Windows for Graphics. So don’t ditch Windows.

Good Luck again! [import]uid: 44110 topic_id: 24446 reply_id: 98905[/import]

Thanks for your help.

I’ll drop into the Apple store and check the machines out.
