Is one Mac allowing two developer certificates?

Please forgive my ignorance about this subject. I would like to know if the usage of one Mac computer is possible by two different developers for uploading their apps.

Although the yearly subscription of Apple & Corona is fair from a developer point, the acquisition of a new Mac computer for the time being is not possible by me.

So, I was thinking of temporarily using a friend’s Mac (who happens to be a developer too, though in obj-C) in order to generate the necessary certificates that are needed for uploading an application to the App Store.

Is this possible, or do i have to follow the equation 1 Mac = 1 developer certificate and wait till I have enough money to buy myself a new Mac?

Thank you for your time.

@nickele, having two identities on a single Mac is possible. You just have to make sure you have the keys & certificates installed in the keychain properly.

Thank you Naomi for the answer.

@nickele, I thought about it a bit more, and I have to say I don’t have two separate Apple iOS Developer accounts. I have two separate Apple IDs (person IDs) and I can access Apple Dev Center with either one to sign in to a single iOS Dev account. But I don’t see how it would be any different when it comes to uploading the binary via iTunes Connect. So long as you have the proper key & certificate installed on the Mac, and so long as you can sign in to your iTunes Connect’s account, I’d imagine you can upload the binary too.

Anyhow, I don’t see any harm in trying it on your friend’s Mac. If it doesn’t work out, you can always have your key/certificate removed from his/her keychain and move on.

The last time I had to do this was about 6 months ago but I can tell you it worked fine.

That said, there’s also the option of macincloud (not affiliated with them in anyway) which I know a few devs without Macs use.

Best of luck!
