is the Facebook 4.* the way to go with it in beta?

I was just going over the docs for this version of the Facebook plugin and with it in beta and the issues listed is there another way to use Facebook? All I want to do is let the user login and then by code post an image about the app with user’s comments to help promote the app. I’m not doing anything else.

I’m mainly concerned with Android cause it listed the issues about whether you have the app installed or not that it may not show the login dialog again. Or that it may take a minute for the login to show. I would rather go to the previous way right now.

Thanks!

Let me break down the Facebook plugins The one called Facebook is not in beta it works well but it expires in October 23 2016. The current Facebook v4 is in beta. Are thier issue? of course. I think it works good enough. I have not tried it in a few days but I was able to do a login and post. I know corona has a lot of engineers on this plugin. Facebook has a few bugs as well.

I’ll go ahead and give the new one a try. I was trying to use the social popup plugin. I tapped facebook, logged in and then nothing. Restarted my phone and tapped facebook and still nothing posted. I guess I’ll go back to the facebook 4 plugin and try it.

Thanks

Are you on iOS or android?

I don’t know how attached you are to Facebook, Jason made a Twitter plugin as well.

Twitter is we’re all the younger gen are at. Not trying to offend anyone it is just based on what I read about age stats. The plugin is on the Twitter marketplace( note marketplace under construction)

Right now I’m testing for Android. I tried the Facebook app in the samples and put the facebook app ID in the build settings file. It ran and worked fine the first time on my phone. I clicked log out and then tried to log back in and it gave me an error that the app has no Android key hashes configured.

I guess this is another section I missed and need to configure. Is this an easy fix?

I created the key hashes. WHat am I supposed to do with it now? I can’t find this in the sample app. I created them with a password.

I would post you errors or problems like this Facebook v4 forum.

Your keyhash has to be entered into your Facebook developer portal for your app.
