Is there a best build # for Yosemite

Hello,

I am using a early 2008 Macbook Pro which will no allow me to update to Sierra.  I am on Yosemite 10.10.5.  So I downloaded the latest sdk -Build: 2016.2970 - And I got the meesage  “This version of OS X (10.10) is not supported… proceed with caution, some things may not work correctly”

So until I upgrade my computer, is their a best Build # to use or should I always go with the latest build?

Also when you say “some things may not work correctly”  are those things “new features”?  or would an old api like “transiiton.to”  not work?

Thanks!

Its not if API calls like transition.to will work more than trying to use the iOS SDK 10 with a version of Xcode that’s still compatible with macOS 10.10. Builds 2955 and earlier should not issue that warning.
