Is there a need to submit a new app for ios9

Hey guys, 

I have an app on the app store which I built using Corona SDK a few weeks back. 

I was just wondering with the release of ios9 is there a need to re compile the app with a newer version Corona ?

As of right now Corona SDK apps do not take advantage of any new iOS 9 features, so no, there is no need to update just because of iOS9.

This like app thinning, split screen, slide out views, 3D touch, etc.

Hey Rob.  Will Corona SDK eventially support app thinning? Will it be possible to support asset catalogues?

I don’t have an answer for this right now. In the mean time the best thing is to visit the feedback site at:

http://feedback.coronalabs.com

and put in a feature request and get it voted up.

Hey guys, I just have a quick question related to this topic.

If I compile my app against iOS 8 SDK now and release it, it is still available for iOS 9 correct? If so, does that mean compiling against iOS 8 SDK gives the app compatibility with iOS 6,7, 8 and 9?
