Is there a point to support 480x320 for Android devices anymore?

Hi,

I’ve been working on a universal display solution when I had the thought…

As you know for a while ago, Ansca dropped support for older devices. Current builds require Android 2.2+ as well as ARMv7 cpu support.

Check out the ARMv7 device list at the FireFox wiki at https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#System_Requirements

I couldn’t check them all but I don’t think any of these devices supports less than 800x480.

So, as in the title, is there a point to think about supporting 480x320 for Android anymore? Are there any devices out there with ARMv7 AND Android 2.2+ AND 480x320?

unvelievable more than 50 % device support has been dropped for android

I understand requiring Android v2.2 to avoid bugs and other limitations. Sounds to me like that was the real problem.

BUT…

Why drop ARM6? The iPhone side supports ARMv6 why not Android?

I find it interesting that the myTouch is still in the device list when it isn’t supported! Oh and it is the only 320x480 device the sim supports.

So to answer your question…

Unless they put ARM6 back in, my Android versions will be 480x800. [import]uid: 26049 topic_id: 10216 reply_id: 37308[/import]
