Is there a way to build for the iOS simulator without being a paid apple subscriber?

As native text fields do not show up on the Corona simulator, I’m trying to test it on the iOS simulator without signing up to be a paid apple subscriber…any way to do this? Or an alternative method, some other type of simulator?

@canupa, @nwittenbrook
if you are *not* an apple developer, you cannot get a certificate, if you cannot get a certificate, you cannot build for the xCode simulator, so in effect, there is no way that you can do away from being a Apple Developer subscriber if you want to test apps on the xcode simulator.

Xcode is FREE with all macs, and now also available on the MacApp store.

cheers,

uh… you’re right. you need a certificate to run apps in the simulator.
and there is no such thing like “some other type of simulator”!
