is there a way to do (veriable ++, or veriable+= 2) ?

i’m just sick of writing
veriable = veriable + 1
or
veriable = veriable - 2

is there a way to write like in java :
veriable -= 2
or
veriabl ++

?

Unfortunately, no. lua is a very “clean” language, which, in this case, prohibits this sort of function.
