Is there an advantage displaying a banner ad during game play (in terms of revenue)?

I’m curious as to whether or not I should be displaying a banner ad at the top / bottom of my games during game play or only display the ads (as I currently have) when the game is over.  Do you get more impressions if the ad is shown longer (which could happen if if the ad was shown during game play).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Banner ads during game play are one of the least effective ways to monetize an app.

You get more ads by showing ads for a shorter duration, but you don’t get paid by showing more ads, but for taps on the ads.  Ad vendors don’t like you rotating ads any faster than 30 seconds.
