Is there really no way to access the front camera in my app?

The command to specify the camera is iOS only. If I cannot access both cameras, I will have to use another tool for the app I am planning.

Can you provide a little more context about what you’ve tried?  What are you trying to do?

I want to access the front camera of an android device. I have read through the documents and found nothing on how to do so.

One of the mods have said that there’s no way to use the front camera. I would like to confirm this before switching to a more suitable SDK.

If Josh said it’s not possible, I would not argue with him.  That said, he’s referring to Corona SDK, where we have limited camera access.  We offer Corona Enterprise where you can call native code which increases the possibilities.  I’m pretty sure you could access the front camera from Xcode/Objective C.  I don’t know Android well enough to be confident with that answer, but I would think it possible.
