Is this a bug?

This is my 5th app submission and only on this submission today I get an email from the iTunes Store:

_Dear developer,

We have discovered one or more issues with your recent delivery for “ArtyDisc”. Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:

Missing Push Notification Entitlement - Your app appears to register with the Apple Push Notification service, but the app signature’s entitlements do not include the “aps-environment” entitlement. If your app uses the Apple Push Notification service, make sure your App ID is enabled for Push Notification in the Provisioning Portal, and resubmit after signing your app with a Distribution provisioning profile that includes the “aps-environment” entitlement.

If you would like to update your binary for this app, you can reject this binary from the Binary Details page in iTunes Connect. Note that rejecting your binary will remove your app from the review queue and the review process will start over from the beginning when you resubmit your binary._

I do not want the app registered with the Apple Push Notification service but for some reason it is. How do I disable this? Like I said this is my 5th app and this is the first time this has happened.

Build: 2013.1016 (the more recent one screws up LuaGlider for some reason)
XCode 6.1

Thanks in advance to any guru that can help with this! [import]uid: 156018 topic_id: 35520 reply_id: 335520[/import]

That sounds a bit weird, but it could be an issue with your App ID.

Log in to the iOS Provisioning Portal, locate your App ID and click ‘configure’.
Make sure that ‘Enable for Apple Push Notification service’ is not checked.

it happened to alot of my updates as well, its probably something with either a build of corona or with apple. Did not get rejected at least. [import]uid: 17969 topic_id: 35520 reply_id: 141158[/import]

There is another thread reporting the same issue. Walter asked to be kept informed of any further issues, so perhaps it might be worth posting in that thread. [import]uid: 33275 topic_id: 35520 reply_id: 141166[/import]

@ingemar - the push notification option is not checked. [import]uid: 156018 topic_id: 35520 reply_id: 141209[/import]

I did some reading up on the subject and it seems like it’s some sort of new “policy” that Apple has implemented. Don’t know exactly why and if it’s a mistake on their part or not, but it doesn’t seem to affect the approval process. It might even be some glitch in their system that’s sending out automated messages based on some criteria.
This has affected many devs, not only Corona devs, and it looks like many who got the message have had their apps approved nonetheless. I still haven’t seen any reports on apps being rejected for this reason… [import]uid: 70847 topic_id: 35520 reply_id: 141217[/import]

FYI everybody, here is the recent thread discussing it:
