Issues with bookmarks and navigator

Hi,
I really like Glider, but there are some really frustrating workflow-killers…

First, once in a while, all my code bookmarks are deleted.
That wouldn’t be much of a problem, if the code navigator would work right.
After working for an hour or so, the navigator functions-list is scrambled up and finding a particular function is nearly impossible and I always end up using ctrl-f to find it manually.

:frowning:

Hello Canupa,

Thanks for your feedback, we appreciate it. The function navigator will be simplified in the next version to display just the functions and the globals. The function list itself is generated independent of the parser result so there will be less possibility of errors. See the screenshot below for how it might end up looking:

As for the bookmarks getting deleted, we aren’t too sure why this would be the case. We suggest you have the bookmarks window open, it makes it easy to navigate bookmarks and maybe just the GUI elements are somehow getting deleted. You can activate it via Window -> Navigating -> Bookmarks

hi, thanks for the reply. but the bookmarks I’ve set are definitely gone.

I have three “badges” in the bottom toolbar that pop up on click and pop out when I click anywhere else, which feels just right for me. here’s what it looks like:

just a guess, I remember that I took a step back in time via the histroy before the bookmarks were lost. but the bookmarks were the same in both versions of the file, so maybe thats nothing. But apart from this I did’t do anything unusual, just writing and testing some code.

… and it just happened again right after “jumping back in time” using the code history/version control. I have made no changes in the bookmarks between the two versions.

frustrating. please fix this.
