Even though I’ve only looked at it on Android device, I really like the way Vungle looks and works. Much better than any other ads I’ve integrated so far. Pre-loading makes it very smooth too.
Thank you for making this plugin!

yes, its really smooth. best you can get. and the people working there are very cool too
WOW! Very nice. Smooth as butter indeed. Need to setup so that Revmob or Chartboost is shown since the fill rate is not 100% (but darn close!) One thing I have noticed is that downloaded 3 apps in total but it still show only one. First it showed I made $1.5 then later it went up to $2.25 but still showing 1 install. I am assuming it is just a delay in reporting. I do run the app I download to make sure it is reported.
So far so GOOD!

ps: I really love that we have more and more choices
I has first set the system in test mode and then switch to live. But now the system says I need admin to switch back to test mode. Not sure which mode I should be? I can see revenue even so my app do not have the Vungle code (using a active app on the app store for now.
Any idea?

ps: Now I am at $3.45! Probably should stop testing before they arrest me
ps2: I am testing on iphone5 so far and it really looks good!
Hey LairdGames, don’t worry, there’s no arrest warrant on it’s way ;) Would you mind sending me an email (colin.behr@vungle.com), and I’ll make sure that one of our Account Managers takes care of that for you.
Our system automatically switches apps from test mode, to live mode once the app receives installs in the app store. The test mode merely ensures that you receive purely test ads, rather than live ads that (potentially) bill the advertiser.
I’m really happy to hear that you’re all happy with Vungle, and any feedback you have will definitely be much appreciated.
Thanks, Dingo! Very happy to hear it I’d love any feedback you’ve got for us too. Awesome to have you working with us.
Thanks Colin! Yes it is beautiful thing to see. I sometimes run my app just to look at the different video ads because I still cannot believe it is sooo smooth!
In any event my current app (on the app store) is still not updated with the Vungle code (waiting for Apple dev to return since i need to renew some profiles) But using it’s Apple ID I am able to real life ads. I probably should have left it in test mode until I make the update in my app. I also have an app in developement where I will also use Vungle on it.
One the issue I am having is working on the logic to show other ad networks if Vungle fail to show something to the player. I can see in the sample code that you wait for 5 sec to show an ad (in case it was not cached) but what is the best way to detect that Vungle failed to show an video ad?
Finally, I will assume that Vungle pays both for click and installs?
THANK YOU so much for providing this plug in. It is a thing of beauty!

Hey, Mo, I call CoronaProvider.ads.vungle.isAdAvailable() and if it’s true, I show Vungle, but if not, I show other ads. I wonder if that’s the best way or if there’s other, better way to work with it.
Naomi
Is there somewhere we can see Vungle in action? Maybe a Youtube video or something?
@johnPM: you may try this app which according to Vungle blog post implements the video ads.
https://itunes.apple.com/app/fun-run-multiplayer-race/id547201991?l=nb&ls=1&mt=8
They have also an android version (check the blog post about Vungle)
@Naomi. THANKS. I will try that and report.
Mo
Tried the game but didn’t see any ads. Maybe will try again later.
@JonPM. Sorry about that. I tried it too but no video showing either. Maybe you can try this one?

Cheers.

@JonPM, you should be able to find Vungle videos within the Challenges section of the app, accessible from the home screen. First time you open the app, you might need to wait a couple of seconds for a video to load for the first time, since Vungle videos are pre-cached in the background to ensure a top UX.

Hi Colin,
Is Ruzle uses Vungle? The UI of the video seems a little different but maybe because it is not using the Corona plugin. In both case, the ad seems to be served on demand and not after each game play.
By the way, given your experience with Vungle results, would you suggest us to show the video ad (if available) after each gameplay? Or would you think that’s that too excessive and would prefer maybe every 3 game plays? I would really appreciate your point of view on this since I am try to decide that for my next app?
Thanks.
Mo
Thanks! Looks great. Question: this game awards players consumables (coins) for each video the user watches. Is this ok per Vungle’s policy?
By the way, Fun Run is also made with Corona!
