Hello Everyone,

I uploaded IPA to itunesconnect as a new app today and got email from Apple.

 

Dear Developer,
We identified one or more issues with a recent delivery for your app, “xxxxxx” 1.0 (2020.1.251654). Your delivery was successful, but you may wish to correct the following issues in your next delivery:

ITMS-90809: Deprecated API Usage - Apple will stop accepting submissions of apps that use UIWebView APIs . See https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiwebview for more information.

After you’ve corrected the issues, you can upload a new binary to App Store Connect.

I remember, during updating of existing apps, I never see this type of email. Is there anything I need to worry about?

Just a warning at this time. Don’t worry. But that being said I don’t recall this warning last time I uploaded an iOS app. What version of Corona are you using?

I’m using daily build Corona-3551.

@agremonte for updating apps, it works fine. It’s warning on adding new app on itunesconnect.

ITMS-90809: Deprecated API Usage  - Apple will stop accepting submissions of new apps that use UIWebView APIs starting from April 2020. See https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiwebview for more information.

April is coming.

Will be a fix?

I just got the same email (on March 28, 2020) HOWEVER they have pushed back the date to December:

ITMS-90809: Deprecated API Usage - Apple will stop accepting submissions of app updates that use UIWebView APIs starting from December 2020. See https://developer.apple.com/documentation/uikit/uiwebview for more information.

The reason of  ITMS-90809: Deprecated API Usage  was Appodeal (StartApp). Also need to use beta version of Appodeal.

That’s my case

I got this error today June 1st and didn’t get it with the same code yesterday, so it really looks like we just passed a deadline in Apple world.
